#asktheexpert my son is 1 yr 1 month old he is sneezing twice in 30 mins due to cold from yesterday could you please suggest any medication

A. Cold most of the time is a viral illness where there could be running nose sneezing along with cough and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration . steam inhalation will also be useful in this . cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medihicine which should be used once a proper evaluation by the docitor is done and according to the type of cough its prescribed. if any fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the temperature and the dose can be repeated again after 6 hours if required .

A. She don’t give any medicine without consulting the doctor it would be good that you check with your paediatric First and it could be due just viral or weather change so it’s best to check with your doctor before you give any medicine to your child
