#asktheexpert My daughter is suffering from a cold for the last 10 days. We have tried everything but still she is facing difficulties in sleeping due to the running nose which leads to difficulty in breathing. Please suggest what to do here.

Hello there ma’am please do not worry about it too much. nasal saline drops can be given again and again to the child because it is salt water which will help in decreasing the nasal blockage by clearing the mucus try to prevent temperature variations around the child which is the most common cause of cough and cold in small children.can give indirect steam inshalation . anti-cold medicines at this age have got side effects so can be given only after medical consultation. You can also rub Vicks Vaporub on baby clothes near chest area.
