My daughter is 7 weeks old. We got her vaccinated through painless vaccine.but still she had fever and swelling on the vaccinated area. now other dose is due on 10 week. is it necessary to give the same vaccine on 10th and 14 week. can't we switch to painful vaccine? as I have heard that painless vaccine have a reduced immunity than painful vaccine.

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 6 m old boy4 years agoA. it is advisable to continue the same vaccination for the child and also both the type of vaccines give same immunity. if you want to change you can change the vaccine type to painful ones also

SanthoshiMom of a 8 yr 2 m old girl4 years agoA. There can be mild pain not to worry. If there is fever give paracetamol as prescribed by your doctor. see that if there  is a pain and little swelling, give a hot compress to baby. Soak a cotton cloth in hot water squeeze it and gently press on injected area. Ensure wzye risnt too hot. Also cold compress czn help baby relax. If there is heavy swelling or puss or heavy redness then immediately you should see your doctor.
