this is how it starts By 9months to 1yeat they just say mama, papa. By 15 months will understand whatever we say and will observe more. By 18 months they speak few meaningful words amma appa papa mamma thattha.. After two years they make combinations of words like amma give, amma take, appa go, mama come.. Later they make sentences. It will take time for them to speak complete full sentences. Just keep talking more to your kid.to make them speak follw these everyday

Hello.. did she enjoy watching rhymes, animals, birds,  etc.  do activities with her related to phonics like A says a,  B says b,  C says k, etc. show her some phonics sound videos through YouTube and check whats her response towards it. keep conversating whole day that's not possible at all instead give her meaningful activities related to speaking and stop understanding her needs when she points out. Can she give you proper attention and look at you when you call her? if yes then its delayed speech if no then kindly contact your pediatrician or child development center in ur city.
