Q.

#asktheexpert my baby is 10 weeks old. he has severe reflux problem. after every feed he throws up and sometimes through nose also . now he has slight cough also and gagging also choking sensation is also there sometimes.after feeding also he cries a lot and doesn't allow to burp since birth problem of excessive crying is there. shown to many doctors.usg abdomen is normal. he is on nexpro junior and domstal. what can we do?is there any risk to lungs due to choking and gagging? birthday weight 2.42 current weight 4.4

A. gastroesophageal reflux disease also known as g e r d is very common problem in small childrxen less than 6 months of age and it does not have any permanent treatment and the problem decreases with increasing age of the child and the important thing is that you have to keep the child in upright position for more duration for which gerd xchairs are available and at the same time you have to continue and tested medicines given by the doctor. reflux is very common cause of recurrent cough cold as well as not gaining weight in infants.
