A. It is completely normal for an 11-month, 18-day-old baby to not be standing yet. Babies develop at their own pace, and some may start standing between 9 to 12 months, while others take 13 to 15 months. When Should You Be Concerned? 🔴 Consult a doctor if: ✔ Baby does not bear any weight on legs when held upright. ✔ No attempt to pull up using furniture or support. ✔ Very weak muscle tone or stiff legs. ✔ No crawling or attempts to move independently. How to Encourage Baby to Stand? ✅ Give floor time – Let baby play on the floor instead of being held too much. ✅ Use sturdy furniture – Encourage baby to pull up by placing toys on a low table. ✅ Encourage crawling – Helps strengthen leg muscles. ✅ Barefoot practice – Helps improve balance and grip. ✅ Hold hands & support – Help baby stand by holding hands gently. If baby is active, trying to move, and reaching other milestones, then there is no need to worry. Some babies take a little more time. However, if you notice stiffness, weakness, or no improvement by 14-15 months, consult a pediatrician.
