#Asktheexpert My 1yr baby has fever for every 6hours wich is between 100.5 and 101.7. Yesterday took the blood nd urine test and found out she has UTI (pus cells 8-10). Doctor has suggested to give CEFiXIME oral suspension twice a day for 10 days. started giving the syrup from yesterday morning. but the fever still persist for every 6hours. how long does this fever lasts??? what food/fruits should I give her?? i am worried.kindly suggest.

ExpertDr Bandana JoshiAyurvedic Physician4 years agoA. If it is UTI then you should complete the course of medicine and try to give more liquids to the child and give coconut water and give curd daily to the baby

You Can I ask your doctor to change the fever medicine that the doctor is giving it could be like maybe the medicine is light for the child to ask them to give a little heavy dosage which will help in reducing down the fever it’s basically an infection that your child is having so it is going to take some time to subside completely
