babies can get their first milk teeth anytime from 6 months upto the age of 15-18 months.
so don't be tensed and wait for some more time and meanwhile keep checking for the signs of teething

See There is no such answer to why but I can only tell you what most of the time dentist would say that a teeth can come between three months to 18 months of age at any point of time and even till the 18 months of age of the teeth do not come then it is a question of concern otherwise it is considered normal
