6 महीने से कम उम्र के छोटे बच्चों के लिए 10 दिनों तक मल त्याग न करना पूरी तरह से सामान्य है।
 यदि वे दिन में 6 या 7 बार से अधिक बार मल त्याग कर रहे हों तो यह भी सामान्य है।d
 यदि मल की स्थिरता अर्ध ठोस से ठोस है तो मल की आवृत्ति के साथ-साथ रंग (रंग पीले भूरे हरे से काले तक हो सकता है) के बारे में चिंता करने की कोई आवश्यकता नहीं है।
 पेशाब और मल पास करते समय भी तनाव होना सामान्य है।
 बच्चे का वजन ठीकr से बढ़ता है और बच्चा खेलता रहता है तो इस बारे में चिंता करने की जरूरत नहीं होती।
