#AskTheExpert Is it mandatory to give PCV on the same day as other vaccines?? My baby boy is 4 months old and got all the 3 doses of vaccination from government Anganwadi center and it didn't include PCV vaccine. Now government Anganwadi centers has PCV vaccine ( 2 doses + 1 booster dose). Can I get my child vaccinated with PCV now?? or is it mandatory that PCV should be given on the same day as the initial 3 doses of other vaccines( penta + rota virus)???

Hello, your baby boy is 4 months old and if you want to protect him from pneumonia then you should give him three primary doses and one booster dose of pcv

yes it is very imp.  Vaccination is important for prevention from diseases so it should be given and not be delayed much . Some of delay is ok but vaccination chart should be followed and all vaccines are important that are in the chart .
