#asktheexpert Is it a red flag if the kid has not started crawling or sitting up on their own even at 11 months?

A. if we make her to sit, she will sit without supposrt...but she does not sit on her own, we have to make her sit up

A. a baby will start Sitting with support by 6 months of age and by 7 to 8 months baby will sit without support than by 9 months usually baby crawls and in 10 months baby will stand with support. After 12 to 15 months baby will start Walking indepenfdently and sometimes it may take even longer but in no case any Walker should be avoided as it can cause recurrent fall injury and ddelay in the walking because the child lacks confidence of walking independently.

A. Yes Not crawling because some kids don’t crawl maybe They just start start working but he’s sitting should be there by the age of 8 to 8 1/2 months if your child is not sitting independently that there is a major missing of milestone you should immediately consult your doctor
