Q.

#AskTheExpert Hello my son is 10 months old .He is able to stand up with support but has not started walking yet . how do we encourage and teach him walk .what are the milestones to be achieved by 10 months

A. it can be considered as normal as per the details that you have mentioned here but still you have any more queries regarding this you can get your baby checked once by your paediatrician ,to rule out any other problem if any and also to get proper suggestions in details.the child will be able to sit with support by age of 5-6 months without support by age of 7-8 months,able to crawl by 9-10 months and walk independently only after one year of age till then wait n watch at times certain babies may skip the milestone of crawling and will begin to stand with support and then without support and work independently thereafter which is considered as normal you should not worry. at times the milestones can get delayed or achieved early also.variation can be commonly seen in the particular age group according to the growth pattern of the baby.. but if it is delayed beyond the range then you should consult doctor to get your baby e examine once and for clearing the doubts.
