Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy3 years agoA. Hiccups in children occur due to gas which is present in the stomach.
During the feeding prrocess child takes air along with milk and that air goes inside the stomach which irritates leading to hiccups.
You have to offer feeding as well as do proper burping(for atleast 20 minutes) to decrease this problem and it is a self limiting problem
AbhayaMom of a 15 yr 8 m old boy3 years agoA. Hi mom
Hiccups is very much normal in néw born babies. So no need to worry.
When the babies they suck excess air while feeding sucking and crying which causes hiccups. So no need to worry. Take care and all the best
