#AskTheExpert Hello doctor My son is 2.8 yr old and he is suffering from very bad cold andcough even though after consulting paediatric the cough and cold is same , we are giving him syrup mucolite 2.5ml but still the cough increasing in the night time pls suggest some alternative cough syrup and cold for immediate resolution.

A. ir may be any viral. Cough and cold is due to the seasonal variation or changes in temperature . Mostly it's a viral and will be normal in 3 to 5 days just steam as a home remedy for this. Other montair LC for cold and ascoril for cough can be used
