#AskTheExpert Hello Doctor, My 12 weeks old daughter's umbilical area is healed but there is a pus like watery discharge once a while with foul smell.Could that be a sign of infection?? There is no redness swelling..It's looks very normal expect for the discharge..

A. apply fusiwal ointment twice or thrice a day keep area dry don't overwrap your child give only breastmilk till completion of six months once consult your paediatrician for proper examination of the child and start treatment as advised

Hello mom If it is happening regularly with your baby then in such case you should definitely consult with your paediatrician about it because your doctor can only advise you will after examining baby. You should not give any sort of medication to your baby till it is not advised by Dr Happy parenting Stay home stay safe
