#asktheexpert My daughter is 1 and a half months old. Umbilical cord is not healed any precautions or cleaning we need to follow..There is no liquid discharge as such but white watery discharge seen some times

ExpertDr Laxmi Chavan-SawantAyurvedic Gynaecologist 1 Year agoA. you just need to clean the area with normal soap water and no need to apply oil or any other ointment over the area
when the cord Falls off, you can apply t-bact ointment twice a day and maintain proper hygiene

RashmiMom of a 11 yr old girl1 Year agoA. You can actually clean it properly with beta Dean liquid and ask your doctor if you can use a powder into that to make it more dry yet if the problem is persistent even after doing this then you’ll have to get it checked with your doctor again
