#AskTheExpert Hello Doctor, My 12 weeks old daughter's umbilical area is healed, but once a while there is pus like watery discharge with foul smell. Could that be an infection??

please consult your paediatrician for proper examination of the child and start treatment as advised by your doctor
start vitamin d and multivitamins supplements regularly
offer more breast milk

you can sprinkle Neosporin powder on affected area twice a day
it is very helpful
if possible please consult with your pediatrician about this matter because physical examination of child is important for proper diagnosis and treatment
