#AskTheExpert hello doc I'm currently 24 weeks pregnant my haemoglobin is 9.0...is it fine to have that much count utill the delivery..

A. The count is very low and you should increase your iron. Rich diet and also have proper supplements during your pregnancy. As this count is not at all advisable for delivery.

Pulses and beans - e.g., lentils, peas, soy, kidney bean.Eat iron-rich foods such as meat, chicken, fish, eggs, dried beans and fortified grains. The form of iron in meat products, called heme, is more easily absorbed than the iron in vegetables.
