#AskTheExpert good evening sir. my baby is 2years. wo hamesha Muh Mai ungli dale rehta hai. uska ye bht hi bad habbit hai. jisse Wo bht Bimar hota rehta hai.. sir aisa kya Kare jisse uska ye habbit bandh Kare? please help sir..

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children2 years agoA. Thumb sucking in infants is a very normal phenomenon and its called mouthing reflex and nothing to be worried about it just maintain proper hygiene and with time this thing will go .
In the toddletxrs thumb sucking habit is also seen many a times which could be prhycological cause and feeling of insecurity or some stress . Just try to make the child comfortable and divert in some activities also spend good time with the child .
In extreme case withdrawal can be tried with some solution available which are bitter like femite lotion . It needs to be applied locally .
