#asktheexpert Do I need to clean my baby’s gum and tounge. How should I do that, pls advise. Also I have seen a small tooth has erupted from gum.

ExpertDr Mahesh PatilPaediatrician4 years agoA. hi your baby is 7 months old now yes oral hygiene is very important and you can clean mouth by using a clean cotton cloth and your little finger .

DR SHIWAJIRAO PATILGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. Hello, your baby girl is 7 months old and she is teething but you should clean her tongue and massage her gums with finger wrapped in clean cotton clothes and wet into water and then rub it slowly on her tongue

You may clean her tounge once in a week or so
If you are able to see the white deposits over it
You may massage her gums very gently using your finger tipa
Give her more probiotics as she's teething
