#AskTheExpert 3 months old suddenly not showing any hunger cues but sucking on pacifier when trying to sleep.He doesn’t have cold or any other symptoms. I am offering feed if he hasn’t eaten in more than three hours. He takes the feed at times but only if I force. Please help

in first six months the minimum weight gain should be 500 mg per month and it can go up to 1 kg per month also.
the urine output should be more than 6 to 7 times per day. the child should sleep after takindg feeding.
meet the doctor for weight assessment.
if the above criteria is achieved then the child is having adequate milk intake.
if the growth of thde child is proper there is no need to worry about the sleeping pattern/ feeding as well as the stool frequency of the child

Thanks for the reply! Yes, his birth weight was 3.1 kgs he’s now 7 kgs. He’s wetting the diaper and passing stool sometimes once in two days or daily. I feel helpless because if I don’t offer milk he’s not asking for it not matter how long. Is this normal? Should I stop the use of pacifier? He doesn’t calm down without one though.
