Q.

after sending school 20 days she suffered from Pneumonia admitted foe 6 days in hospital after taking rest for 25days I again sent her school just from 2 days again she started having cold what shld I do now very tensed

A. it appears to be allergic cough/cold ( most commonly seen in children less than 6 years of age). usually they are not associated with fever and the cough and cold can continue for many weeks. they can be associated with temperature variations around the body (hot to cold or cold to hot environmental changes) which the body cannot sustain leading to cough usually at evening /night and morning. also they may be food allergy ,cold allergy and allergy to dust,smoke,pollens also. requires examination and start anti allergic medicines. meet dr. there is a possibility of stdarting anti allergic medicines for at least one month and the doctor will decide if the child needs inhaler therapy or nebulization. when allergies are not controlled they can lead to intermidttent respiratory infections which needs other medicine
