after doc consultation fof cough n cold given 5 days course of t minic and ascoril Ls along with levolin nebuliser . But still child has little cough n cold .. How long we cn give medication

Author of questionMom of 4 children3 years agoA. he has no fever . Hydration levels are good but after 5 day course little whopping cough n runny nose.

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough.
if fever is there paracjetamol can be ginven to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .
