Sukhadev Name Meaning

The name Sukhadev is of Sanskrit origin and has roots in Hindu tradition. It is a combination of two words, "Sukha" meaning happiness or comfort, and "Dev" meaning God. Therefore, Sukhadev can be interpreted to mean "God of Happiness or Comfort".

As per ancient Hindu scriptures, Sukhadev was the son of Veda Vyasa, the author of Mahabharata. According to legend, Sukhadev left home immediately after birth to pursue spiritual knowledge. He is also known for narrating the Bhagavata Purana, one of the eighteen Mahapuranas.
