A. A cervical stitch (cerclage) is not generally recommended as a routine procedure in twin pregnancies, as it does not reliably reduce premature birth rates and carries risks of infection or membrane rupture.

A. Well actually it applies a lot of pressure on the uterus and on the placenta and the baby sometimes in the lower side of the position which is why some women can have a little bit of cervical opening in an early time which is the doctors recommended to have a Stitch
