You need to know and understand the reason behind the white patch in the first place in most of the cases it is just associated with dryness but in some cases it could be other issues also as number of issues associated with good consult your doctor in the first place to know what kind of spot is your child supplying from a dryness white spot and accordingly the doctor can treat the child
