POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 5 m old boy9 months agoA. At 9 months, your baby can eat a variety of solid foods, with a focus on soft, easily mashed or cut-up foods that are safe for their age. You can offer:
1. Fruits: Mashed or soft, small pieces of fruits like bananas, apples, pears, and peaches.
2. Vegetables: Soft-cooked vegetables such as carrots, sweet potatoes, peas, and broccoli, either mashed or in small, manageable pieces.
3. Grains: Soft rice, porridge, or small pieces of bread or crackers.
4. Proteins: Well-cooked, finely chopped or mashed meat (chicken, turkey, fish), scrambled eggs, or tofu.
5. Dairy: Full-fat yogurt and cheese in small pieces or mashed.
6. Legumes: Mashed beans or lentils.
Avoid honey, whole nuts, and foods that are choking hazards, and make sure all food is cut into small pieces or mashed. Continue to breastfeed or offer formula as well, as it's still an important source of nutrition at this age.
