A. Hello, your baby boy is 5 months old and he might have been given pentavac injection at government hospitals three doses so penta means five vaccinations in one injection ie Dpt,hib,hepatitis B and opv along with it

A. Hi Mom, Pentavalent vaccine protects against five major diseases such as dipththeria, tetanus, pertussis (whopping cough), hepatitis B and Haemophilus influenza type b (DTP-hepB-hib). Simply this vaccine is called 5 in 1 vaccine.
