HomeQuestions & AnswersWe have a 40 day old girl. At present whenever she is hungry we at first try to breast feed her.. but since she don't suck that vigorously we express the brest milk via a pump and feed her via glass bottles. 10 days back we tried to feed her exclusively directly from the breast without using a pump but she was unable to feed adequately and developed dehydration hence we were forced to shift back to the current practice..
Our query is .. how to gradually shift her to direct breast feed exclusively?

A. hello mum one thing comes to my mind is once you feed the baby with your bottle try latching onto your breast and help baby to suck simply that will help to get used to the breast before you completely want that once you are able to match your baby on your breast reduce the amount of milk yogi and then half of portions half pumpkin halfway breast that loves help you have to try different ways
