Q.

My son's immunity is very weak and he falls sick very quickly. And I also know that my son's private parts have enlarged skin. Is it because of that that he falls sick every time? And it is necessary to get him operated?

A. If your son has a history of frequent illnesses, it could be due to a variety of factors, including a naturally weaker immune system, exposure to infections, or underlying health conditions. Strengthening his immunity can often involve lifestyle changes, such as ensuring a balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, and whole grains, regular physical activity, adequate sleep, and proper hygiene practices. Consulting with a pediatrician can help identify any specific issues and provide tailored advice on boosting his immune system. Regarding the enlarged skin around his private parts, this could be a condition known as phimosis, which is common in young boys. In many cases, this is not a cause for concern and may resolve on its own as he grows. However, if it is causing discomfort, pain, or recurring infections, it may warrant further evaluation. Surgical intervention, such as a circumcision, is typically considered only if there are significant issues. A healthcare professional can provide a proper assessment and recommend the best course of action based on his specific condition. It’s essential to discuss your concerns with his pediatrician, who can give you a comprehensive evaluation and suggest appropriate steps to take for both his immunity and the condition of his private parts.
