Q.

My son is suffering from cold and mild cough,is it suggested to use medicines or nebulizer or both? because the cold and cough will not subside for a week or more. The medicines are finishing but the cold and cough are not cured sometimes in this season.so I am using nebulizer for relief to child when ever he has stuffy nose instead of medicines for long term,is it fine to do so?

A. yes can continue nebulization you can give nebulization with ns bottle that is normal saline water. this will help in decreasing both dry cough as well as will help in decreasing the mucus present in the throat of the child. but other nebulization medicines (asthalin, duolin, budecort etc) can be given to your child is decided by the doctor. so your doctor will decide after examination whether your child needs a nebulization with these medicines or not thus the maximum nebulization that you can give to the child without medical consultation is with normal saline it is totally safe and it is not addictive

A. hello nebulization can be given only if advised by your doctor and not otherwise and you can put nasal drops or use instant cold releif rub from Babyhug which can help and in regards to the medication it is better to check with your doctor and your doctor will be able to guide you better on examination of the same
