Q.

my son is one year old. from past 4 days he is having loose stools I have consulted pediatrician and also given some probiotics as suggested.. he vomits also and given emicet for vomiting.. for tomorrow its a week..should I wait for 2 days or should I start with antibiotics as suggested by pediatrician.. please suggest

A. Loose motion could be because of somte infection or if chronic than could be some malabsorption. Initially you can give zinc supplement for 2 weeks and probiotic like econorm sachet for 3 days . For any specific treatment consult your doctor and maintain proper hydration .
