Q.

My son is now 13 days old, when he was 3 days old his bilirubin was 11.40. Then when he was 7 days old, I reported that the bilirubin was 12.60, so should my son undergo phototherapy? And is there any reason to fear? Also, I don't notice that his skin color is yellow, but the white part of his eyes seems to be light yellow.

A. the level of bilirubin is below the photo therapy level so no need to go for any type of treatment and just breast feeding is good enough to decrease the bilirubin level. the yellow which is present on the skin and the eyes will go away in next one month

A. As of now continue with vitamin D supplement and along with that also I would recommend you to keep your child into indirect sunlight for 30 to 60 minutes every morning that is going to be essential as of now which helps in reducing down their levels for jaundice
