My son is 4 months old, his birth weight was 2.4 kg and now he is 5.3 kg, after third month we dint see significant weight gain. is the weight progressing or should we introduce formula in addition to mother’s milk?

A. Not to worry at all. It's very common in infants. for newbies is common to shed some weight after birth and it applies to almost all babies. They burn calories for crying, having milk, breathing etc..it's quite normal.. They shed around 10-15% of birth weight in first two to three weeks and will slowly regain their weight within a month or two.
