Q.

my son is 4 month and 17 days old.suddenly he grows some tiny hair on hip upper lip and pelvis area.iam using prednisone for almost 2 month now for ulcerative colitis.i heard that prednisone cause body hair growth.does my baby get prednisone through breastmilk.is it because of prednisone,?

A. yes its a possibility. if there is no relief it is advisable to see the doctor for proper examination if there is need for proper investigations also both for diagnosis and treatment

A. hi it might be reaction to this although as baby is too young,it is advisable to visit your pediatrician for once before taking such things , please inform your treating doctor that you are nursing mother,so you may know whether it is safe to take during breastfeeding or not
