Q.

my son is 1 month old... 15 day before he was diagnosed with tsh 35.7 so started to gave thyrox 50mg but now his tsh is 0.016 only... what to do...I had thyroid during pregnancy and had thyrox 12.5mg... is it possible to have such difference in tsh count

A. yes this is very commonly seen in infants so you should have regular check up with your pediatrician about the TSH and take the medications only as per the need check TSH level every 2 months

A. this would require proper medical investigation and it would be better to go as advised by your doctor and give the medicine as prescribed which would be better and nothing to worry and if required you may even take second opinion by visiting your doctor
