Q.
my son 3.5 month old .. have cold and cough.. how many drop of maxtra and mucolite should I give ??

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor acgcording to the type of cough.
if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fvever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

In fact, coughing is a healthy and useful reflex that helps clear the airways in the throat and chest. Most of the time, your baby or toddler's cough can be managed with simple home remedies.
