Q.

My son 2years 8 months old getting intermittent fever two days before he got 101 temp we gave calpol and it reduced again from yesterday he is having fever @100 temperature giving calpol. No cold and cough. Please suggest.

A. . just feed well. wear comfortable clothing. do sponging with water at normal temperature, not too cold. it helps in taking temperature down. do not give medications without prescriptions. consult your doctor in case of persistent fever, poor oral intake, excessively sleepy child. ...

Q. My 4 yr daughter had fever of around 101°, so gave her calpol at 5am and 11 am, the fever wasnt decreasing. Around 4pm, temp was 102.4, so i gave meftal p, and fever reduced. At 11pm, temp was 99°, unsure if I should gove medicine or no, I gave calpol. But now at 5am next day, temp is again around 101. Please suggest, if i should continue calpol or meftal? And should the medicine be given every 6 hours, regardless of the temperature?
