Q.
My Son 13 months old and is due to get Japanese Encephalitis JE vaccine. Could some one please tell if it is safe to give this vaccine. And this vaccine is not listed in government vaccination chart.

japanese encephalitis is a disease which is very common in eastern and central india as well as half of eastern part of south india.
this disease is slowly spreading throughout india.
you have to contact your local pediatrician who will tell you whether this disease is endemic in your state or not.
so if it is endemic it isz advisable to go for this vaccine and if it is not endemic you can keep it as an optional vaccine
