Q.

My second baby is 22 days old. She is exclusively breastfed. She was 3.1 kg at birth, and now she has gained 50-100 grams. She sleeps well and urinates 4-5 times after each feed, but her weight is not increasing. Is this normal, or should I consult a pediatrician?

A. Hello my dear parent! There should be a minimum weight gain of 400 to 500 g per month in the first few months after birth. Continue to exclusively breastfeed your baby on demand. Consult your doctor for further assistance.
