my scan was done yesterday. AFI is 5.5 cm. Is this a alarming situation

A. Yes it can be because it is really very low plus you haven’t mentioned what time of pregnancy are you in so whatever the situation is it is quite low for what’s meant to be done your doctor is going to advise you on that so just proceed with what your doctor advises you

Q. as regards to my last question, you ask why dr recommended hyderation therapy when AFI was 10. in earlier scan it was 15 AFI and after it went to 13 AFI next scan in 28 week scan it went to 10 AFI. so by seeing rapidly drop AFI per scan dr suggested hyderation therapy. currently 33 week pregnant with9 AFI is it alarming what could be the reason to drop AFI every week.
