Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy2 years agoA. you have to give only demand feeding to the child that is whenever the child feels hungry you can give milk to the child
and the child will take the milk according to the need and then will leave the milk. x
if the child is taking more milk you can offer milk in more quantity with intermittent burping .
there is nox need to to go for hourly feeding pattern.
also there is no need to wake up the child from sleep if the weight of the child is within normal limits .
POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 5 m old boy2 years agoA. It is not necessary to wake most older newborns up to eat. However, those younger than 1 month old or so may not wake up when they feel hungry. Babies younger than 4 weeks old should not go longer than 4–5 hours without food. To wake a baby up to eat, try brushing the side of their cheek.
