Q.

my new born baby boy of 5 days have bilirubin level is 14.3. Is it normal for 5 days old baby? If not please suggest what to do next.

A. it's alarming.. it's physiological jaundice..and very common in newborn..It will subside by it's own by the end of second week. Just breast feed your baby two to three hourly and on demand. Do Consult your paedritician in person he or she will guide you in detail. it's important in this case.

A. Hello dear parent! Neonatal jaundice is common in many babies. Continue breastfeeding your baby well on demand for better health, nutrition and hydration. Phototherapy might be required, please consult your child’s doctor for advice. Good luck and take care.
