Q.

My girl child is 3 years and from past one month she started licking her fingers. is there any deficiency? please suggest us a remedy to make her leave this habit? #AskTheExpert

A. children do explore many things as they grow. make sure her hands are clean. also wash them frequently and give her good diet with fruits and vegetables and plenty water to drink

A. hi it happens because of many reasons like nutritional deficiency ,stress or anxiety etc. so please make sure your child is well cared. offer homemade healthy and well blanaced diet. it is better to offer different food items from different food groups like vegetables, fruit, nuts, pulses, beans, dairy products etc. keep your child well hydrated provide apt sun light at least 20 minutes a day maintain good hygiene. please don't scold or yell at your child for this. just gently remove his or her hands from mouth.
