A. Hiccups are non dangerous and its nothing to worry.. Its because of the gas that is trapped while sucking on milk

A. hiccups in children occur due to gas which is present in the stomach. during the feeding process child takes air along with milk and that air goes inside the stomasch which irritates leading to hiccups. you have to offer feeding as well as do proper burping(for atleast 20 minutes) to decrease this problem and it is a sself limiting problem during hiccups just give breastfeeding again and keep the child in upright position for burping which will stop the episode
