Q.
my child has lite fever, cough and cold last week. now is there no fever and cold but he still has a cough from last week. pls suggest any medicine

Author of questionGuardian of a 4 yr 2 m old boy3 years agoA. Thanks Sir. Now he is getting cough but frequency is less. when he gets cough, he is coughing like elders. Doctor suggested to take xray, in the xray he has pnemonia so doctor suggested nebulizer. we are keeping 4 times. but still he has cough 4 times in a day.

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine whvdich should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough.
if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .
