Q.
my child does potty once in 4 days..that too after giving digestion syrup. kindly suggest it its ok or not.. he is completely breast fed.

Dr. Vaibhav jainFather of a 6 yr old girl4 years agoA. no don't give any syrup it s normal for the baby to not pass stools daily as digestion can be different for everyone . If baby does not pass stool even upto 1 week it s not to worry. If more than 1 week and baby has discomfort can use glycerine suppository for relief. No syrup is given for this below 2 years

Janani ViswanathanMom of 2 children4 years agoA. Some babies pass stools once in four or five days while some pass even more than five times a day which are perfectly normal in breastfed babies. Touch and feel the baby's tummy. If it's hard or the baby is cranky or crying more than usual then u should consult with ur pediatrician. If not u can wait upto seven days. So unless it was prescribed by ur doctor there is no need to give digestion syrup.
