Q.
My boy is almost 5months old and exclusively breastfed. But his weight is only 5kg, should i be concerned?

ExpertKanika AroraNutritionist4 years agoA. hello dear Mom the weight of the baby increases by approximately 500 grams each month 6 months of age make sure to exclusively breast feed the baby for the initial 6 months of age

SanthoshiMom of a 8 yr old girl4 years agoA. I feel weight is good mom.. in the first 3 months, babies put on about 800-900grams each month. From 3-6 months, weight gain reduces to 1/2 kg/month. from 6-9 months, it becomes 1/3, and for 9-12 months, it becomes 1/4 kg. the birth weight doubles in the 4th month and triples when they reach 12 months of age.
