Q.

My boy is 9 months old. i have been giving him finger food since 1 week but he just doesn't want to try eating. he will just play and throw away. he takes toys , teether etc in his hand. iam wondering why is it happening?

A. dear mum, this is fine. baby will take some time to learn and get used to exploring the finger foods and then having it. Do not worry. avoid foods that can choke like grapes, nuts and raw carrot pieces. give pieces of soft fruits like banana, chickoo, foods like idli, dhokla (fermented foods are healthy) , besan chila, upma, stuffed paratha pieces, peanut butter bread.

A. good evening there is nothing to worry about I would recommend you to try to be patient and wait for sometime automatically you will notice that the child will start eating everything on his own
