Q.
My boy is 6 months old. Recently we started giving him 1mg of iron syrup as prescribed. He was given his first syrup on Tuesday after which he is having loose motion kind of thing and doing potty several times a day. Is it normal to have this situation or is there anything we should do?

Author of questionMom of a 3 yr 10 m old boy3 years agoA. I'm not sure whether it's loose motion or not. It's just that the potty is watery in nature and he do potty 5-6 times in a day. I asked the ANM and he said it's normal but I'm not very sure about it.

RashmiMom of a 11 yr old girl3 years agoA. It Cannot be because of the iron supplement because iron supplement can create constipation into the stomach of the child but it is never lose motions so in this case you need to be more sure about the reason after consulting your doctor
